On the blog recently we asked What you would do with $2.7 million?. This was in response to the announcement that the Queensland Government & LGAQ were successful in obtaining $2.7 million in funding from the Federal Government's Local Government Reform Fund to support Queensland Council's developing Core Asset Management Plans for key infrastructure assets. It is probably a bit late to influence how the money will be spent now, but perhaps if all Councils can get together and decide on their asset management priorities, perhaps that's where the money will get spent next time.
