Australian Open Design Library

It has been suggested that an Australian Open Design Library should be created, to house designs released under an open licence like the GNU General Public License or a Creative Commons ShareAlike License.

The design offices of councils & government departments have many common design tasks, and sharing standard drawings & specifications would surely result in less reinventing of the wheel & better design outcomes. The library could become a valuable resource for councils, government departments and the Australian populace in general.
