How Whittlesea uses Sharepoint

Whittlesea City Council uses Sharepoint as its document management system. In most cases word documents and spreadsheets and similar sorts of documents are stored in structured libraries and then either accessed via search or navigated to via a folder system based on the organisational structure. A considerable amount of asset related information however is stored in a Sharepoint wiki that was set up in 2012. The Asset Information wiki now contains nearly 5000 native Sharepoint pages and over 3000 associated documents. The data in the wiki is accessible via a Sharepoint search, via an alphabetical index or via navigation from the home page.
