Brisbane City Council

Brisbane City Council covers the larger part of the metropolitan area of Brisbane, Queensland, and is the most populous local government area in Australia. In 2009 it had an estimated population of 1,052,458, which is roughly equivalent to the populations of Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory combined.
