Knox City Council Building Hierarchy

Knox City Council has developed a building hierarchy that groups buildings by a total score allocated to them on the basis of a number of criteria, including;

  1. Expected Replacement Cost (0-12)
  2. Aboriginal Significance (0-12)
  3. Occupation Status (0-12)
  4. The existence or non-existence of a "Service-Related Legislative Framework" (0-6)
  5. Frequency of Use (0-12)
  6. Revenue Generated (0-10)
  7. No. of Community Services Supported (0-12)
  8. Service Delivery Alternatives (0-12)
  9. Impact of Closure (0-12)

Each building is given a score out of 100, and then assigned a … on the following basis.

  • Level One - 76 to 100 points
  • Level Two - 51 to 75 points
  • Level Three - 26 to 50 points
  • Level Four - 0 to 25 points
