The above photo is of a concrete apron studded with rocks (Energy Dissipator) upstream of a greated pit in Pindari Avenue, Epping. It is presumably designed to slow the water approaching the pit to ensure minimal overshoot onto the adjacent railway underpass.
The photo was taken on 8 March 2013.
