Environmental Hazard

Environmental hazard is a generic term for any situation or state of events which poses a threat to the surrounding natural environment and adversely affect people's health.

Victorian Environment Protection Act 1970

The Victorian Environment Protection Act 1970 defines an Environmental Hazard as "a state of danger to human beings or the environment whether imminent or otherwise resulting from the location, storage or handling of any substance having toxic, corrosive, flammable, explosive, infectious or otherwise dangerous characteristics."
