Fibre-Reinforced Concrete

Fibre-reinforced concrete is concrete containing fibrous material which increases its structural integrity. It contains short discrete fibres that are uniformly distributed and randomly oriented. Fibres can be steel, glass, polypropylene or natural fibres.

Ku-ring-gai Council use fibre reinforced concrete in narrow medians, and have indicated that it is well suited for this purpose.2
