Fire Access Track

A fire access track is a track that is designed, constructed and maintained for the safe passage of fire fighting vehicles undertaking fire suppression activities.

Fire access tracks are typically cleared, but unsealed natural surface tracks. They may have some formation, but do not necessarily provide an all-weather fire access. Access to a fire access track may or may not be controlled by locked gates but they are generally signed as Fire Access only.
