Fixed Asset Register
A fixed asset register is a high-level, asset register designed primarily to cater for the financial aspects of asset management rather than the engineering & operational aspects of asset management.
Fixed asset registers may be designed to;
- manage all types of property, plant and equipment
- calculate the costs of asset ownership
- document business processes and record audit trails
- comply with taxation requirements
The Australian Infrastructure Financial Management Guidelines refer to a fixed asset register as a financial asset register.
