Fleet Management is the activity of managing a significant number of vehicles - typically; cars, trucks and heavy construction plant in the local government context. It can include a range of functions, such as vehicle financing, vehicle maintenance, fuel management and health and safety management. These are typically governed by a framework which includes documents such as an overarching policy, guidelines for operation or use, forms and agreements and maintenance regimes.
