Flood Mitigation Network
A flood mitigation network is a network of assets designed to mitigate the effect of flooding.
A flood mitigation network may consist of;
- levees
- flood wall
- stormwater drainage system
- detention basin
- flood diversion structures such as diversion gates
- weirs
- slide gates
- tidal gates
- diversion gates
In Queensland the Asset Management Advancement Program specifically mentions flood mitigation networks, but doesn't specify what assets should be considered to be part of a network.
