Footpath Inspection

A footpath inspection is an inspection carried out on a footpath to determine its condition, and/or to check for hazards.

Footpath inspections are typically conducted on foot, but some Councils (e.g. Mildura Rural City Council) have had staff successfully carry out inspections from a mobility scooter.

Condition and hazard data can be recorded either on a paper form or directly into a data base via a mobile computing device such as a PDA, Tablet or Smartphone.
