General Conditions of Contract

General Conditions of Contract are contract conditions that can apply across a wide range of contracts.

Australian Standards.

There are currently two Australian Standards pertaining to General Conditions of Contract, namely:

• AS4000-1997, Australian Standard - General Conditions of Contract
• AS2124-1992, Australian Standard - General Conditions of Contract

Standards Australia is however in the process of developing a new standard (AS 11000: General Conditions of Contract) that will replace both of the above.
