Gosford City Council

Gosford City Council is located on the central coast of New South Wales, approximately midway between Sydney and Newcastle. The Council area includes a moderately densely-populated coastal strip that extends from the Hawkesbury River northward to Forresters Beach (including the towns of Killcare, MacMasters Beach, Avoca Beach, Terrigal and Wamberal), several inland towns and residential areas (Kincumber, Erina, Gosford, Wyoming, Woy Woy) and an extensive sparsely-populated region to the west that is largely native bush. The Council covers an area of 1,028.19 square kilometres and had an estimated population of 162,533 in June 2003.
