Hard Waste
Hard Waste is a generic term applied to a range of unwanted household items that are too big to fit into a standard domestic rubbish bin. Individual Councils will have individual rules on what items are classified as hard waste, and under what arrangement they will be collected. Examples of items that may be considered for Hard Waste Collection include:
- white goods and electrical appliances such as fridges, dishwashers, washing machines, and televisions. (Typically with doors removed)
- hot-water services
- broken furniture
- mattresses
- sofas
- BBQs
- small lengths of timber and/or scrap metal
- paint tins
- bicycles
