High Density Polyethylene Pipe

High Density Polyethylene, (HDPE), pipe is a second generation polyethylene pipe, which is a much denser and claimed to be a stronger polyethylene pipe due to less molecular cross-linking leading to greater intermolecular forces and tensile strength. HDPE pipe is promoted as suitable for pressure applications, like water mains, corrosive environments such as the transport of chemicals, and in corrosive soils, as well as under soils subject to heavy loads.
