Innovation
Innovation is the introduction of a new way of doing or creating something.
The need for innovation
According to the well known proverb "necessity is the mother of invention", and while that's obviously not the whole story (intellectual curiosity & scientific research for example are key innovation enablers) innovation that doesn't address a need probably doesn't go a long way to making the world a better place. We are being encouraged to innovate 8 but what are the challenges we face that require innovative solutions? If you have identified a challenge faced by local government please consider adding it to the challenge register.
