I have been thinking about and trying to encourage and enable better Inter-Council Collaboration since I set this site up nearly 9 years ago.
I know from talking to lots of local government people over that time that many of us are genuinely interested in collaborating with our peers at other Councils and are doing our best in that regard, but I think we can do better. I think I can do better.
I've decided I need to try to track down EVERYONE at EVERY Australian Council who is interested in Inter-Council Collaboration and ask them what they think the best way to improve it is.
I am going to publish all of the responses I get here.
I'll start with my own thoughts to get the ball rolling, and hopefully by the end of the year I'll have collected thousands of peoples thoughts on how to super charge collaboration.
Ideas
I believe that the key to collaboration is openly and freely sharing your ideas and knowledge with as wide an audience as possible. For me this means publishing what I know online under a Creative Commons licence to ensure it can be used and re-used by others.
