Road Intersection

A road intersection is a location at which two or more roads meet.

The majority of intersections are at-grade intersections. At-grade intersections join at the same vertical elevation. Access through an at-grade intersection may be controlled by traffic signals, roundabouts or stop/giveway signs. (2)

(a) any area of the roads where vehicles travelling on different roads might collide; and
(b) the place where any slip lane between the roads meets the road into which traffic on the slip lane may turn but does not include any road related area."
