Lawn Edging

Lawn Edging (also Edge Trimming) is a maintenance activity carried out by most Councils. It is the cutting of grass that has encroached onto a concrete footpath, kerb or similar surface with the intention of creating a neat & defined lawn edge.

Councils are typically responsible for the lawn edging in and around parks and other Council and public facilities. Lawn edging adjacent to footpaths and kerbs at the front of private premises is typically undertaken by the land owner or tennant.

The activity is typically accomplished with the help of an edge-trimmer.
