Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW

On 1 March 2013 the Local Government Association of NSW and the Shires Association of NSW merged to become one association, known as Local Government NSW, representing all councils in NSW.

Local Government NSW (LGNSW) represents the interests of its members, which include 152 general purpose councils, 12 special purpose councils and the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
