Municipal Charge

A Municipal Charge is a charged levied by a Council to help pay for the administration of the Council.

Victorian Local Government Act 1989

Section 159 (1) of the Victorian Local Government Act 1989 states that "a Council may declare a municipal charge to cover some of the administrative costs of the Council."
