The Rural City of Murray Bridge is situated 80km east of Adelaide, South Australia and incorporates the areas of Callington, Jervois, Mypolonga, Wellington & Woods Point. It has an overall population of approximately 20,000.

It has a mediterranean climate, and the region hosts more than 1.1 million visitors every year for business and holiday. Attractions include water sports, boating, fishing, swimming, motor sports, recreation, walking trails, restaurants and the International pedal prix.

The Council area covers 1,828 sq kilometres (including our portion of the River Murray and Lake Alexandrina). The trafficable road network is 975 kilometres (not including Transport SA roads) and this figure is increasing as more and more housing subdivisions are developed.
