Naming Rules for Places in Victoria

The Naming rules for places in Victoria were developed and are published by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning. They set out the statutory requirements for naming roads, features and localities in Victoria.

The rules which were launched in February 2017 replace the Guidelines for Geographic Names 2010.
