Open Data

Open data is the idea that certain data should be freely available to everyone to use and republish as they wish, without restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms of control.

National General Assembly of Local Government

In 2017 the National General Assembly of Local Government called on the Australian Government to "to support local government with funding, and resources to develop and implement open data initiatives and expedite the release of council data assets."
