Point of Connection

The term Point of Connection refers to the location at which it is deemed that a private pipeline or service connects to the public network, e.g. to a water main, sewer main or drainage pit or kerb.

Sewerage Authorities are required to provide customers with a point of connection (POC) to a sewer at or within a property boundary. The point of connection is generally considered to be the Sewer Inspection Shaft.
