The framework may include information about:
- When a policy should be developed or reviewed,
- What sort of information should be included in a policy,
- Policy templates.
LGAM Policy Development Framework
- Identify barriers to the realisation of your vision.
- Brainstorm a list of ideas for breaking down those barriers.
- Publish the ideas and ask for comment, explicitly inviting people to give feedback on why the ideas may not work and how they can be improved.
- If appropriate, modify the ideas based on the feedback received and get policy stakeholders to vote on the ideas.
- Where there is wide agreement on the value of an idea enshrine it in policy.
