Pressure Tapping

Pressure tapping is a procedure used to make branch connections to an existing water main or to enable maintenance to be carried out without disrupting water supply upstream of the tap. A very good animated demonstration of the procedure can be found here.

  • No need to cut into a pipe
  • No supply disruption to customers
  • No water loss
  • No discolouration of water
