Road Drain
A road Drain is any open drain or stormwater pipe designed primarily to drain stormwater from a road surface.

Road drains may take a number of forms depending on their locations. In rural and semi-rural areas, mitre drains, table drains and road culverts are commonly used for road drainage.
In urban areas stormwater pipes and pits are more likely to be used.
Where water needs to be drained from a road bridge, bridge scuppers may be used.
