SCADA & Telemetry

SCADA & Telemetry are two related, but different things. While SCADA is a system for collecting data, telemetry transmits this data to remote locations. For example, pressure transducers in water tanks convert water pressure into an analog electrical signal which is then transmitted to a remote system for monitoring tank water levels.

Telemetry is extensively used in monitoring sewer, water, bore and booster pumps, as well as valves, rain gauges and sewer flow levels.
