Sealed Road Shoulder Reconstruction

Sealed road shoulder reconstruction is a common road maintenance activity. It involves reconstructing the gravel shoulders of rural sealed roads with imported gravel.

The gravel shoulders of rural sealed roads can be washed away as a result of flooding or worn away gradually over time. In either case this can result in edge drop off and the increased possibility of water finding its way into the road pavement.
