Service Road
A Service Road is a subsidary carriageway within the road reserve of a main artery and separated from the carriageways of the main artery.
A service road is typically:
a) separated from other parts of the road by a dividing strip that is not designed or developed, wholly or mainly, to separate vehicles travelling in opposite directions, and
b) designed or developed to be used, wholly or mainly, by traffic servicing adjacent land; or indicated to be a service road by information on or with a traffic control device on the road.
