State of the Assets Report

A State of the Assets Report is a report designed for Councillors and Senior Management reporting on; asset condition, asset performance, intervention levels, level of service monitoring and future financial sustainability options and consequences.

The National Asset Management Assessment Framework considers the preparation of an annual State of the Assets Report when determining whether a Council has reach an advanced level of asset management.

National State of the Assets Report

The National State of the Assets Report 2014 was launched at National Local Roads and Transport Congress Conference, Tamworth on 14 November 2014. The Report is based on data provided by 396 councils, covering $105bn in assets under management.

The National State of the Assets Report 2013 was launched at ALGA’s National Local Roads and Transport Congress on 13 November 2013. The Report is based on data provided by 183 urban councils and 161 rural councils, covering $98.3bn in assets under management.

The first National State of the Assets Pilot report 2012 was released on November 2012.

The report collates information about the replacement value, quality, function and capacity/utilisation of roads and bridges.
