Street Addressing

Street Addressing is the system of giving a unique number to each building in a street or area, with the intention of making it easier to locate a particular building.

In Australia street addressing is mostly a local government responsibility.

ASNZS 4819:2003 - Geographic Information Rural and Urban Addressing is currently under review. It is due for release in late October 2011.
