Traffic Calming
Traffic Calming is the process of slowing down or reducing the volume of traffic using a given road or area. Traffic calming can be accomplished in a number of ways including via the physical design of the road, and speed and access restrictions. Narrow roads, speed humps and chicanes are examples of traffic calming methods and devices.
Traffic calming is typically introduced to improving the living conditions for residents in a residential area.
