Wombat Crossing

A Wombat Crossing is a type of raised pedestrian crossing, where the road ramps up to meet the level of crossing rather than (as typical) the footpath dropping to meet the road surface via a pram crossing.

Wombat crossings limit the speed of vehicles using the crossing and thereby provide additional pedestrian safety.
